    Tech Review-Bluetooth

I wanted to take some time and write a post on Bluetooth. This is really just a basic discussion of what it is and what it does, indeed, must not contain detailed explanations, involved in technology and science behind it. The Web is filled with this kind of info. You can try, though sometimes soon post some links to other sites for info.

Bluetooth has been around longer than people think. First developed in the mid-' 90 's with a standard wireless devices. In essence, is a standardized way for various personal devices talk to each other. This allows phones, PDA, computer, headphones, printers and more, all speak the same language across the same specified radio frequencies has gone through several different ... versions, the latest being version 2.1 + EDR.

However, just because they communicate using the same protocol, doesn't mean that every device will support other devices. Each device is programmed to use various functions such as standard Bluetooth phone can support. Bluetooth Headset for phone calls, but might not support printing to a printer using Bluetooth. Just because the device has a Bluetooth capability, is the manufacturer of that device to decide what features to be enabled, went, and how those features work.

Here is an example ... My phone is a BlackBerry Pearl from RIM. Has the ability to use a Bluetooth headset. Into my phone I can match all the Bluetooth headset. When paired, you can place calls and send And using the headset, but I can't. listen to music stored on my phone by paired headset. This is because the manufacturer (RIM in this case) is the ability to program my phone Cingular phone. Another (c(2001) 3125 e.g. ...My old phone) would allow music played through Bluetooth headset is a feature phone. programming ... not the headset.

So just because your phone has Bluetooth capabilities, does not mean that it will automatically work with other Bluetooth devices.Need to be programmed to use the Bluetooth feature identical.

Try to make it easier to determine if different devices will work together, the Bluetooth SIG (special interest group ... group, which develops and promotes standard Bluetooth) has developed a few icons for the manufacturer for use on packaging. It is assumed that these icons will tell you what features Bluetooth devices used, and that should help you determine if your devices will work well. Icons listed here when I have seen ... too many to use icons on packaging of yet.

In the example of my phone, my phone has the ability to "headset" but not "Music" capabilities. Therefore, my phone would work well with Bluetooth headsets (such as "Mini", or "Micro"), but I would not be able to listen to music stored on my phone with a Bluetooth Stereo Headset, (such as "Stereo" unit) In my case, the main purpose is dispatching a BlackBerry Pearl, not music, so I'm OK with not listening to music in stereo on my phone. But other phones are marketed as "music" focused phones and it would be smart to offer stereo Bluetooth capabilities.

Not only do you need to know what skills you have ... but how your device using Bluetooth functionality when using the Bluetooth headset with my phone, BlackBerry Pearl, for example, pressing the Multifunction button (aka "talk) to the headset and the phone will automatically go into a voice call. Phone asks me engaged in by telephone and will place the call. This is because RIM Pearl mistake that programmed onclick function Mulit linked (pair) Bluetooth Headset.

Now if the same headset is paired to the iPhone and the MFB is depressed, nothing happens. Apple does not use voice dialing program iPhone headset Bluetooth Headset will work ... but if you want to call, you need to use touch panel telephone dialing. To respond to the call, you can press the MFB to Koka.

All these functions are intended for programmers, and technicians who design and build individual phones. precisely because Bluetooth devices that are compatible, it will tell you how to use the Bluetooth feature.

Experience Bluetooth icons help (although not well-known yet), but even those I will tell you how to use technology, only it does not support.

Hopefully this does not deter towards Bluetooth completely, because it is really great technology. It is very handy to use the wireless headset to talk on the phone. And in many areas, the handheld use cellphones is illegal.

So how do you know what will work with your Instructions or manufacturers websites? should be able to help you tell if your phone is Bluetooth capable or not.And this will tell you what features it supports you inform them ... how convenient, but it is their programming and using technoligy.

One proposal was (and use) is to start small. If you are thinking about buying a Bluetooth headset for your phone, see, you can try it in the store I've ever seen. that offered anywhere in our area, but if you can find a retailer or store that will let you try before you buy, take advantage.

Another option is to first try lower costs with a microphone, there is a wide range of headphones ... and another Bluetooth device here some very low cost and low quality, and some are very expensive. participate in the pricing of these units ... so that you can save another mail sometimes there are many factors, But there are some good ... quality units available at a price that is very fair; These tend to be less known brands, but whereas that Bluetooth is based on a standard protocol, using standard chipsets, you see a huge difference in performance.

As I said, this is a very basic overview of what is Bluetooth is. I could get to hours and hours of great Tech details on this, but I am trying to keep it simple, and understandable.

What would create Bluetooth easier to use?

Bluetooth are loyal Fans, come in Techie world. But ... that doesn't mean there aren't some improvements that could make things better.

    For example ... ...

Why is it that Bluetooth mice and other pointing devices usually require A USB adapter, even if they are sold today many laptops with native Bluetooth? it seems very difficult to get to work with native Bluetooth mouse. Is it really isn't that much fun to try to connect/disconnect dongle or avoid bumping it yourself when setting up your presentation.

In a broader scale, it appears that an easy way to connect and use the Bluetooth was excellent. Is it really a standard, or have some distance to go?

I think that many usability via Bluetooth with distress sympathize. Many first generation Bluetooth devices used way too much and were always on battery power. The later products of certain vendors obviously abandon standards like Logitech, who uses a proprietary connection Bluetooth headphones or some other vendors that do not have or do not use the same standards support, such as stereo headphones and standard mouse With a2dp. as you have mentioned some of the same type of problems.

In addition to these problems connection disconnect buttons on most Bluetooth seem tiny and difficult to use. As regards specifically go mouse Logitech puts some non Bluetooth wireless mouse that uses so little that they aren't endangering precariously placed receivers and well-being for your notebook/receiver And Let's not forget ... the easiest option to connect wired mouse-mouse, where always know when it is connected and when the Sun and you never have to worry about batteries.

Overall, "the problem", due to vendor device (notebook, mice, headsets, phone, etc.) including all providers of software (ie drivers) is not in the Bluetooth software on your device. So for instance a headset with the phone works fine, but would not match with hp PDA, yet the hp PDA pair with your portable computer for Internet access.

Second attempt to explain this user is too technical, and in fact should not be required, ie should meet the expectation installations user usage and software support built in, but For a vendor. This means adding more costs in terms of additional software.

So My view is to make all devices are all expected software and support is available or secure packaging/manual is clear on what device-CSR, which supplies 80% of Bluetooth chips could help to more market orientated and ensure that the message gets through outside vendors and end users. We would favour and CSR.

Another issue ...Bluetooth Support on Windows was extremely poor and now only limited profile support. This Has meant that suppliers have to supply the devices with the Bluetooth stack and, due to licensing issues, which also means that it should provide a Bluetooth dongle.

Get lucky and get the laptop with the same stack as a vendor-supplied Bluetooth peripheral, but his pot luck, if you don't know what to look for Common stacks are Toshiba., Widcomm and Blue Soleil, but all require licensing built into Bluetooth Dongle for full functionality.Vista has improved Bluetooth support, so you can start to alleviate the problem.

The most often heard, is My brother, batteries and his wife got Bluetooth headphones for each of their cellphones. Didn't take long to realize that battery life was miserable to point useless .... and the process of detection and the connection is real pain in the ear.

So close ... likely top design with the best chances to make most people happy is better battery, Bluetooth, auto-discovery, and mounts.

If you would like to add more issues ... or suggestions ... by all means leave a comment.

Three Bluetooth Watch out for pure

Friends, we are talking about the best 3 bluetooth dingles available on the market but before we begin to first understand what a Bluetooth dongle?

Bluetooth purely are tiny devices that plug into your PC, USB ports, providing an interface to a PC connected to the nearby mobile phones.Everything from synchronizing directories using software suite of data, or even Microsoft Outlook allows users to make hands free Bluetooth is an open call. specifications for the transmission of wireless data in a globally available 2.4 GHz radio frequency.

Furthermore the Bluetooth dongle allows also to track your GPS data, which allows the creation of the roadmap in blink, work, diaries, exchanging business cards and what not.

Bluetooth is a vital Tool for purely older laptops that don't come with Bluetooth configuration. So it is Advantageous for laptops that donot comes with Bluetooth, thus enabling them to transfer files, mp3 ringtones, songs, photos and games for mobile phones. People prefer to use the dongle Bluetooth as a straightforward than data cable, elegant, easy to store and cheap.

Each pure Bluetooth now has its own merits, depending on the manufacturer and specifications. Operating system also plays a major role, since it helps, automatic detecting Bluetooth hardware. Windows XP automatically detects hardware and comes with a pre-installed drivers for many devices.Sometimes it may prompt for the driver, but the installation is quick and easy.

Connecting a Bluetooth USB dongle is a cake walk; just plug into a free USB port on your PC then switch on your mobile phone ... Yeah! When you first contact the two devices, one second and ask to be paired.Pairing is the only way your access code (4 digits) to both gear both computers and the same. Mobile you can specify your own access code, but it should be the same.

Now we'd placed over the top 3 purely bluetooth:

Nano USB Bluetooth dongle-this is a Bluetooth adapter, finger nails, plugs into the USB port of any laptop or Tablet PC.Running the advanced technology-Bluetooth standard version 2.0 + EDR, USB 2.0-provides faster connection times, advanced voice quality, greater multimedia environments, Wi-Fi and up to three times faster than the speed of traffic-v1.exe 2 adapters is compatible with most phones.

BlueNext Micro Bluetooth dongle-dongle Bluetooth to MINI BlueNext BN01 SUPER is ultra small size, but that power comes zružoví in small packages with only 1.9 cm length including USB connector you obtežováni much because it does not work from your laptop'S brimming with runs on built-in. Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR technology, so you can enjoy high-speed wireless data transfer rate.

Linksys USBBT100 Bluetooth USB Adapter--this takes the edge over other dongle as it can be matched to seven compatible Bluetooth 1.1, you can connect to a Bluetooth USB adapter at the same time, create your own "personal network Adapter is a long-range". device class 1 and is powered directly from USB port, so you don't need an external Bluetooth USB power. a Linksys Adapter even keeps your data secure as Bluetooth technology uses 128-bit encryption and "frequency hopping" mode, which is almost impossible to capture.

Make sure that your phone's compatibility with Bluetooth dongle before buying it.

Everything you need to know about Bluetooth dongle

The term was originally slang for "dongle." The term is now commonly used to refer to a small adapter that has a short cable with connectors on both ends. As you can see from the large range of Bluetooth headsets that are available on the market, it can be difficult to decide which one to buy. This short guide is intended to help you through this decision process so that you get the headset that is best for you.

A Bluetooth headset is an important item which has many benefits. Used when driving a car it makes using your phone legal; used in the street it does not reveal your phone which can make you a target; it places a distance between your phone and your head so eliminating the health concerns of mobile phone usage; and it can make a fashion statement.

The early Bluetooth headsets looked very geeky and strange. Nowadays thankfully they are much more discreet and fashionable; some are even attractive. Their performance has also improved considerably as has their battery life. The earlier versions used the Bluetooth 1.2 protocol which had significant limitations. The more modern ones use Bluetooth 2.0 and later which is much faster at making connections, provides much improved audio quality and provides extended battery life.

In this guide we will look at some of the important things to consider before making your purchase. These are headset design, comfort, battery life, audio quality, mono versus stereo, charging and usability.

    Which Bluetooth Headset Design?

As has already been stated, modern Bluetooth headsets don't have to look geeky and some are positively fashionable. Some are tiny so that they fit in the ear in such a manner that makes them almost invisible. Others have ear clips that provide a more secure mounting but make them more visible. Some come in a range of fashionable colours with exchangeable skins, some have the appearance of (and really are) high technology. Certainly you should choose a design that you would feel comfortable to wear and that will look good on you.

    How Heavy?

Early Bluetooth headsets were relatively heavy and bulky compared to modern ones and often weighted over 22 grams which could become quite uncomfortable if worn for long periods. Nowadays it is possible to buy Bluetooth headsets which weigh only 8 to 10 grams. These are much easier to wear and you can easily forget you are wearing one. Much of the weight is due to the battery, but modern battery technology along with power saving designs has allowed much smaller an lighter batteries to be used.

    What is the Battery Life?

As described in the previous paragraph, the batteries in modern Bluetooth headsets are much smaller that they were only a few years ago. Despite this, battery life has also been extended. This is due to a number of factors: modern headsets are much cleverer at conserving energy when in the 'sniff' or standby mode; new Bluetooth protocols are much more efficient than earlier ones; modern batteries do not suffer from hysteresis or memory which was caused earlier batteries to deteriorate quickly. A good Bluetooth headset can be expected to offer talk times of over eight hours and standby times of over 140 hours.

    How good does it sound?

Modern Bluetooth headsets can offer excellent audio quality. Even the lower priced ones generally have some sort of noise cancellation system, and many of the admittedly somewhat expensive ones use state of the art noise cancellation technologies that are superb. Remember that you need also to consider how you sound to the people on the other end of your phone call, not just how they sound to you. Price is not always an indicator of quality in this respect, but it is a fact of life that those on the top end of the price scales tend to perform much better that those in the bargain basement.

    What about Stereo Bluetooth Headsets?

Stereo Bluetooth Headsets make use of the A2DP Bluetooth profile for streaming stereo sound from a mobile phone, MP3 player, computer or other A2DP Bluetooth transmitter. When connected to a phone, calls are handled by the standard Bluetooth protocol, and when a call is received the stereo sound is paused while you take the call, then when you hang up it resumes automatically.

In terms of audio quality, this ranges from very good to excellent and can be as good as wired headphones. If you wish to stream stereo music from your phone you should ensure that is has the A2DP Bluetooth profile; a number of phones do not have this.

What are the battery charging options?

There are generally a number of ways to recharge your Bluetooth headset. They can be charged using a mains adapter, they can be charged from your computer or laptop by using a USB cable, or they can be charged from the lower (lighter) socket in your car. Power chargers are becoming more standardised and often the same one will charge your phone and headset.

How many phones can I connect to?

Many modern Bluetooth headsets have Multipoint connectivity. This means that they can be paired to more than one phone at the same time. The headset responds to which ever phone receives a call first. This can be particularly useful if you carry a number of phones, for instance a personal one and a work related one. If this is important to you then you should ensure that your headset is Multipoint.

    Do I need Voice Dialling?

Many Bluetooth headsets offer a voice dialling facility. This offers considerably convenience and safety when driving. After previously setting up your phone with sound tags, you simply press a button on the headset to activate voice dialling, say the name of the person you wish to call, and the phone will dial the appropriate number.

What is the purpose of Call Alert?

Some Bluetooth headsets offer call alert. This is particularly useful if you are not wearing your headset and you are carrying it in your pocket. You might well miss a call if your phone is in silent mode or it is in a bag or a case, but when a call is received your headset will vibrate to alert you that a call has been received. Then, by pressing a button on the headset you can take the call.

Will the Bluetooth Headset be compatible with my phone?

Whilst in the early days of Bluetooth headsets it is true that there were many compatibility issues with different manufacturers' headsets and different manufacturers' phones. Some simply would not work together or only some features could be used and not others.

Nowadays with the new Bluetooth protocols these compatibility issues have been resolved and every modern headset will work with every suitably Bluetooth equipped mobile phone.

How far away can I be from my phone?

Bluetooth is a radio technology that has different protocols and different classes. Class 1 Bluetooth headsets have a range of 100 meters and class 2 Bluetooth Headsets have a range of 10 meters. The longer ranged Class 1 headsets are useful for receiving music streamed from a Class 1 Bluetooth source such as a Class 1 Bluetooth dongle equipped with EDR, but this does not mean that you can be 100 meters away from your phone.

The reason for this is that your phone will have only Bluetooth Class 2 which will limit the range to 10 meters, so you can be a maximum of 10 meters from your phone.

    Final Words

Closing the right Bluetooth headset for you is an important decision and you will need to balance the design style, comfort, sound quality and other features with price. The old adage that you get what you pay for is very applicable to Bluetooth headsets and prices range from quite inexpensive, just a few pounds or dollars to, quite expensive, possibly a hundred pounds or so.

We hope that this guide will help you make your decision. A Bluetooth headset is certainly an excellent investment that can considerably benefit both your health and your safety.

Yes the maps, if you use your bluetooth headset with your MP3 player, both devices must support the same profile bluetooth audio so that they exchange data with each other.

Both devices should share at least one profile that is able to connect with other Bluetooth profiles are especially important for the sole reason that Bluetooth devices cannot be used without having the same profile as the second. So far, creating a connection between the acts as the devices.

A profile is what makes equipment sufficiently compatible to be able to establish a Bluetooth connection Right after purchase. in the case that each device has different profiles from one another, you cannot use your Bluetooth devices; however, you need to make sure that your Bluetooth devices have the same Bluetooth profiles to be able to use the service you wish to Use as guidance establishment. in relation to the use of Bluetooth technology. This device that utilizes Bluetooth capability depends greatly on their profiles.

Bluetooth profiles are provided by manufacturers meet to allow devices to be able to use the Bluetooth technology and specific manner specified standards.

There are two types of bluetooth profiles: profiles and adequate interoperability.Profiles are those that define the basic requirements for Bluetooth devices, and these are already available by default, while on the other hand, interoperability profiles are those that are based on profiles. These define the minimum requirements needed to power Bluetooth support specific application Is here and various profiles that are available that describe many different types of applications or use cases for different devices. Each profile has its very own specific application.
